Officials from municipal and state departments working with people in situations of refuge took part in a module that covered theoretical content and technical support.<\/h4>\n

The Department of Justice and Human Rights, through the Coordination Office for Combating Trafficking in Persons, Slave Labor and Safe Promotion, linked to the Citizenship and Human Rights Directorate, held the first training module on the protection of refugees in Par\u00e1 last Wednesday (06), in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).<\/p>\n

The target audience for the training was civil servants from municipal and state departments who work with people in situations of refuge, presenting theoretical and practical content to reflect on the situation of refugees and migrants in the state of Par\u00e1, as well as providing professionals with technical support for the proper management of the regularization of the documentary process for this segment of the population.<\/p>\n

Sejudh's coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Persons, Slave Labor and Safe Promotion, Lorena Rom\u00e3o, explained that the course dealt with the situation of refugees. \u201cWe talked about the legal frameworks related to refugees and the migratory process as a whole, as well as the anthropological contextualization of the Warao Venezuelans who are in Brazil,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The second module will take place on October 14 and 15, at the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (SEASTER), and will deal with groups with specific protection needs: children, people with disabilities, the elderly, LGBTI people and the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) and Work Permit (CTPS) for refugees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
